Juhi: Protest against lack of cleanliness during Imam Hussain (a.s.) gathering

In Johi, Pakistan, citizens and mourners staged a protest during the month of Muharram Al-Haram due to a lack of sanitation. Led by Muhammad Hanif Laghari and Ejaz Laghari, the protest on the seventh day of Muharram Al-Haram focused on the failure of the administration to provide cleanliness despite women's religious gatherings (majalis) taking place in various neighborhoods and streets. Protesters highlighted the accumulation of garbage and the difficulties it caused for movement, stating that numerous complaints to municipal staff had gone unheeded. They warned authorities that if sanitation was not addressed out of respect for Muharram, a larger protest would ensue, emphasizing the community's frustration with the government's inaction during a significant religious period.
