Gold Plunges Sharply Below Rs. 5 Lac in Pakistan After Big Gains Yesterday

Gold prices in Pakistan experienced a sharp decline today, dropping below the Rs. 5 Lac mark per tola, mirroring trends in the international market. One tola of gold lost Rs. 9,500, settling at Rs. 494,662, while 10 grams decreased by Rs. 8,415 to Rs. 424,092. This significant drop follows a substantial gain of Rs. 15,700 per tola on Wednesday, which had pushed prices to Rs. 504,162. The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) reported these figures, attributing the fall to a $95 drop in international bullion prices to $4,723 per ounce. Silver also saw a decrease of Rs. 300, settling at Rs. 7,884 per tola, indicating broader volatility in precious metal markets.
