PTA Warns Mobile Users: Update CNIC or Risk SIM Blockage

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has issued a critical warning to mobile users, urging them to ensure their SIM cards are registered with a valid Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC). SIMs linked to expired, canceled, or deceased individuals' CNICs risk immediate blockage or legal action, which would disrupt mobile services. Users are advised to promptly update their CNICs and verify their information with the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA). These measures are part of the PTA's ongoing efforts to maintain the integrity, security, and reliability of the telecom system and prevent fraud.
