The University of Balochistan is hosting its second international conference on "Plant Sciences and Management of Arid Lands for Agricultural and Biological Diversity: A Step Towards Sustainable Development" on May 18 and 19, 2026. The hybrid event will feature over 100 researchers and experts presenting their work on topics including botanical sciences, biodiversity conservation, agriculture, arid land management, climate challenges, and the economic importance of medicinal plants in Balochistan. Key national and international speakers from institutions like PARC, FAO, University of Texas, McGill University, and Southwest University of Science and Technology will participate. The conference aims to foster research collaboration, strengthen academic ties, and seek sustainable solutions for environmental and agricultural challenges in Pakistan, particularly Balochistan, by facilitating knowledge exchange among experts.
