Gas and condensate production begins from Batrasim East-1 well in Khairpur

Gas and condensate production has commenced from the Betrasim East-1 well in Khairpur, according to a spokesperson for the Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL). The well is currently producing 7 million cubic feet of gas and 200 barrels of condensate daily. The gas extracted from the well has been integrated into the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) network. OGDCL anticipates a further increase in gas supply as the well's production stabilizes. To facilitate this, a 28-kilometer gas pipeline was laid to connect the Betrasim East-1 well to the Sinjhoro plant. This new discovery is expected to boost the country's domestic gas supply and contribute significantly to energy security.
