Saim Ayub released from Pakistan tri-series ODI squad

Young Pakistani batter Saim Ayub has been released from the national squad for the remainder of the ongoing One Day International (ODI) tri-series. The decision was made by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) following a match against England at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on October 25, 2026. During this match, Ayub was photographed by Reuters walking off the field after losing his wicket. This development is significant as it indicates a change in the team's composition for a crucial series, potentially reflecting performance concerns or strategic adjustments by the PCB. His release could open up opportunities for other players within the squad or signify a period of re-evaluation for Ayub himself.
