After 17 years of hard work, my sister-in-law is out of a coma, and she is still taking care of me!

In China, a 68-year-old mother-in-law, Xuan Fengying, has dedicated the past 17 years to caring for her daughter-in-law, Xu, after Xu fell into a coma following a truck accident in 2009. The accident occurred just one month after Xu's wedding in Qingyun County, Shandong Province. Xuan Fengying selflessly took on the responsibility, hand-feeding her liquid food for an hour at a time, repositioning her to prevent bedsores, and engaging her with massages, bathing, family news, and music. Years later, Xu unexpectedly emerged from the coma, but the severe brain damage left her with the cognitive abilities of a four-year-old. Xuan Fengying continues her unwavering care, teaching Xu to walk and perform physical exercises, with Xu now able to speak a few words and prepare simple meals. Xuan Fengying's only wish is for her daughter-in-law's continued recovery and independence, ensuring she can care for herself even if Xuan Fengying is no longer able to.
