There is no technical institution at all in 20 out of 41 districts of Balochistan, Senator Jan Muhammad Buledi said.

Senator Jan Muhammad Buledi, parliamentary leader of the National Party in the Senate of Pakistan, raised concerns regarding the state of technical education, particularly in Balochistan. He sought details on the number of public and private technical institutions affiliated with NAVTTC (National Vocational & Technical Training Commission) across Pakistan, the number of enrolled students, and scholarships provided. While the Education Department failed to provide comprehensive details, it was revealed that out of 1535 NAVTTC-affiliated institutions nationwide, only 93 are in Balochistan, with 47 of those concentrated in Quetta alone. Alarmingly, 20 out of Balochistan's 41 districts lack any technical institution whatsoever. Senator Buledi strongly protested this disparity, emphasizing that NAVTTC is not functioning effectively in Balochistan and that the government is failing to address the public's need for technical education. He criticized the Education Department and the Minister of Education for their inadequate responses and apparent disregard for parliamentary inquiries, highlighting the severe neglect of education in Balochistan and calling for urgent action and scrutiny of scholarship programs and affiliated institutions.
