Pakistan issues travel advisory for pilgrims travelling to Iran, Iraq

The Ministry of Religious Affairs in Pakistan has issued a travel advisory for Pakistani pilgrims planning to travel by air to Iran and Iraq. This advisory specifically urges pilgrims and Ziyarat Group Organisers (ZGOs) to meticulously verify flight schedules prior to their departure, particularly for routes between Tehran, Mashhad, and Najaf. The ministry emphasized avoiding reliance on uncertain flight information and having alternative travel arrangements readily available. Pilgrims are also advised to carry additional funds to cover potential expenses for alternative air or land travel, along with accommodation, in case of flight cancellations. The overarching goal of these measures is to ensure the safety of Pakistani pilgrims and minimize disruptions during their religious journeys to Iran and Iraq, ensuring they are well-prepared for any unforeseen travel complications.
