The incident of Muhammad Sudis, who was killed in an encounter with forces in Aghberg, should be investigated and his son's body should be handed over, says father Muhammad Ashraf

Mohammad Ashraf, a resident of Killi Ismail, along with Voice for Baloch Missing Persons Chairman Nasrullah Baloch, held a press conference to demand a transparent investigation into the death of his son, Mohammad Sudais. Ashraf stated that Sudais was taken from their home on the night of May 19-20 from Killi Ismail, Madrasa Road, under the pretext of interrogation and subsequently disappeared. His forced disappearance case was under hearing by a commission, and a court appearance was scheduled for the day of the press conference. However, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) submitted a report to the commission claiming that Mohammad Sudais was killed on August 20 in Aghbarg during an encounter with security forces, along with five other individuals, and his body was handed over to Edhi for burial. Ashraf alleges that his son was extrajudicially killed in a staged encounter after being forcibly disappeared and that burying the body without the family's consent is a severe violation of the constitution, law, and fundamental human rights. He is demanding a fair and impartial investigation into the incident, accountability for those responsible, and the return of his son's body to the family for proper burial.
