Peshawar CTD Operation: 5 Terrorists Killed

A Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) operation in Peshawar resulted in the deaths of five terrorists, including wanted commander Imran, who faced 20 terrorism-related cases and had a Rs120 million bounty on his head. Imran was allegedly involved in the killings of a JUI-F leader, a senator, and another individual, and was the alleged mastermind behind the Tarlai Imambargah suicide attack. Another militant, Shahidullah, involved in reconnaissance for the attack, was also killed. This operation is part of intensified security efforts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a region experiencing a rise in terrorist activity since 2021, and led to the recovery of various weapons and explosives.
