Tensions in the Middle East, Field Marshal holds important meeting with Iranian Interior Minister

Pakistan's Army Chief, Field Marshal Asim Munir, met with Iranian Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi (referred to as Skandar Momni in the Sindhi text) in Tehran on Monday to discuss bilateral relations, border cooperation, and regional peace and stability. Both parties emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation between Pakistan and Iran and promoting peace and stability in the region through joint efforts. The leaders also agreed to strengthen bilateral ties and expand cooperation in various sectors with mutual trust. This meeting comes amidst several challenges to the overall security situation in the Middle East and the region. Pakistan and Iran share a long common border and have previously stressed the need to enhance cooperation on border security, counter-terrorism, and combating illegal movement.
