Mir Raza Ali's family moves SHC for JIT formation to investigate case

The family of the late businessman Mir Raza Ali has approached the Sindh High Court (SHC) seeking the formation of a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) to thoroughly investigate the circumstances surrounding his death. The family has named the Sindh government and other entities as respondents in their petition, expressing dissatisfaction with the current investigation. A key point of contention is the delay in obtaining forensic reports from Ali's phone, which the Investigating Officer (IO) informed the court are still pending. Furthermore, the family's lawyer highlighted that the IO has yet to nominate any suspects or individuals in connection with the case, raising concerns about the progress and scope of the investigation into Ali's death.
