Apple has officially designated its popular iPhone X as "obsolete" in its product support policy, meaning the company will no longer provide official hardware repairs or replacement parts for the device. This policy change, which typically occurs more than seven years after a product's sales end, will make it difficult for users still owning an iPhone X to get official repairs for issues like broken screens or dead batteries. Introduced in November 2017 and discontinued in September 2018, the iPhone X was a pivotal device for Apple, being the first to feature Face ID, an OLED display, and a nearly edge-to-edge notched screen, thus eliminating the traditional home button and Touch ID.
