Sardar Akhtar Mengal, on his social media platform X, criticized the Prime Minister's acknowledgment of past injustices in Balochistan and the assertion that dialogue, not guns, is the solution. Mengal stated that while successive rulers, including the current Prime Minister, have admitted to these atrocities and even apologized, their actions have only led to disfigured bodies, orphaned children, destroyed villages, imprisoned women and children, and the plunder of Balochistan's resources. He questioned whether the Prime Minister's military arsenal, including cannons, tanks, jet fighters, and gunship helicopters, could truly resolve the issues, implying that such tools are part of the problem. Mengal asserted that although they also believe guns are not the solution, the Prime Minister's government has done little to genuinely address the historical grievances, a failure for which history will hold him accountable, especially if he finds himself in opposition.
