Chinese robot beats Usain Bolt's 100m world record in test run

A humanoid robot named Lightning, developed by Chinese smartphone maker Honor, set a new unofficial 100-meter world record of 9.32 seconds during a test run in Beijing, China. This time surpasses Usain Bolt's human world record of 9.58 seconds. The event was a preparatory test for the second World Humanoid Robot Games, highlighting China's strategic promotion of humanoid robots as an emerging industry for various applications. The robot also previously won the Beijing half marathon in April, and its legs were recently lengthened to improve its performance.
