Punjab unveils strict security plan for Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH)

The Punjab Home Department has issued comprehensive security directives for Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) to be observed on August 26 across the province. The provincial government will ensure elaborate security for processions, Milad gatherings, and Quran recitation ceremonies, with arrangements as stringent as those during Muharram. Security measures include police deployment, walk-through gates, metal detectors, snipers at sensitive points, and cordoning off streets. Authorities will also address illegal loudspeaker use, provocative speeches, and ensure video/audio coverage and traffic management, with coordination for uninterrupted electricity, to ensure the safety and smooth observance of the religious event.
