Law and order situation in Kech and Makran is deteriorating day by day, lawyers' organization announces boycott of courts across the district on Monday

Lawyers in Turbat, including Vice Chairman of Balochistan Bar Jareen Dashti Advocate, expressed serious concern over the deteriorating law and order situation in Kech and Makran, criticizing police performance and demanding immediate action from high authorities. They claim that after the merger of Levies with the police, the latter's attitude towards citizens, traders, and lawyers has become inappropriate and irresponsible, citing an incident where a lawyer's son was robbed and police allegedly failed to act on information provided. The lawyers highlighted widespread difficulties in registering FIRs, with some cases allegedly refused due to lack of ID cards or issues with minors, and expressed concern over increasing extortion and kidnapping for ransom despite numerous police checkpoints. They also questioned the police's investigative system, alleging that investigations are not conducted properly and that money is sometimes demanded from witnesses, holding police officials responsible for the rising crime rate and urging all segments of society to address the issue.
