There is practically no opposition in the Balochistan Assembly, says government member Asghar Rind

Mir Asghar Rind, Parliamentary Secretary for Energy and a senior leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), presided over a public gathering in Kalatak, constituency PB-28, to prepare for Pakistan's Independence Day celebrations on August 14. During the event, attended by party workers, local elders, and Provincial Minister for Planning and Development Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi, Rind praised the enthusiasm of the workers for organizing the program despite difficult conditions and affirmed his commitment to addressing local issues like electricity problems, providing solar systems, and agricultural bores. He also highlighted the delayed compensation for small-scale Mirani Dam affectees, while larger affectees have already received theirs, promising efforts to expedite payments for the former. Rind controversially stated that there is virtually no opposition in the Balochistan Assembly, as opposition members are receiving the same development funds as government members, criticizing this as hypocritical politics, and praised Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti's government for its performance, including granting district status to Tump.
