Oxford University Press Pakistan offers support for Punjab’s education reforms
A delegation from Oxford University Press (OUP) Pakistan met with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif in Lahore to express appreciation for the provincial government's education reforms, particularly the Nawaz Sharif School of Eminence project. OUP praised the school's high educational standards and offered cooperation to further enhance education and teaching standards in Punjab. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz welcomed OUP's proposal to collaborate with the Punjab School Education Department, agreeing to launch a pilot project at the Nawaz Sharif School of Eminence using the OUP curriculum. This partnership will include OUP providing support for digital teacher training, capacity building, teaching guides, and other educational initiatives. Maryam Nawaz highlighted that the government's education reforms have restored public confidence in state-run schools, evidenced by increased admissions and high participation in entrance tests for the Nawaz Sharif School of Eminence.
