Matric Results 2026: Punjab announces Rs1 Lac Cash Prize, Laptops for Position Holders

Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat announced increased cash prizes and laptops for Matric position holders, raising the award from Rs20,000 to Rs100,000, alongside free laptops for successful students. This announcement coincided with the simultaneous release of the 2026 Matric annual examination results across all Punjab educational boards, marking a step towards a fully digital examination system. For the first time, all boards announced results concurrently, ensuring transparency and providing verified online result cards instead of traditional hard copies. The minister also detailed future plans including screen marking, QR code access to exam papers, and claimed significant reduction in cheating, reflecting a rapidly digitizing and improving education system in Punjab.
