Pakistan's name reverberating with respect across the world, says PM Shehbaz after US-Iran deal

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced on Friday that Pakistan has garnered global respect after successfully mediating an agreement, the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, between the United States and Iran to end a conflict that began in late February. Addressing the National Assembly, PM Sharif emphasized Pakistan's newfound international standing, urging legislators to adopt a resolution to affirm this achievement and project national unity despite political differences. He specifically credited Field Marshal Asim Munir for his tireless efforts over the past two to three months in securing peace, also acknowledging contributions from Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi. The Prime Minister also revealed a recent call with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, who expressed gratitude to Pakistan for its support, and extended an invitation for the Iranian President to visit Pakistan.
