Pakistan’s Top Civil-Military Brass Offers Final Farewell to MI-17 Helicopter Crash Martyrs

Funeral prayers were offered in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, for military personnel who were martyred in an MI-17 helicopter crash near Muzaffarabad. The services were attended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and other senior civil and military leaders, including Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Defence Minister Khawaja Asif. Separate funeral services for two Christian soldiers were also held at Christ Church. Prime Minister Sharif praised the martyrs' dedication and emphasized that their sacrifices for peace, security, and sovereignty would not be forgotten, affirming national support for their families. The fallen personnel will be laid to rest with full military honors in their hometowns.
