Rawalpindi: Important progress in the inhumane murder case of young Zain Shah

Significant progress has been made in the investigation of the brutal murder of young Zain Shah in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Police have added Section 11 WW of the Anti-Terrorism Act to the case, declaring the incident a mob lynching, and have arrested six suspects: Amjad Khan, Shah Hussain, Abdul Basit, Hamza Khan, Nauman Khan, and Sohail Mehmood. These suspects have been remanded for ten days for further interrogation regarding other accomplices, planning, and the motorcycle used in Zain Shah's abduction. The incident, which occurred on May 8th, stemmed from a dispute over 1300 rupees, leading to Siraj Mehsud and his companions attacking Zain Shah's home, where Mehsud was killed in a shootout. Following Mehsud's death, his relatives reportedly retaliated by brutally torturing Zain Shah to death and desecrating his body, prompting the inclusion of mob lynching and terrorism charges in the case.
