PIA board chairman Aslam R Khan dies after prolonged illness

Khan, who had been associated with the national carrier for over six decades, was admitted to a private hospital when his condition worsened. Colleagues remembered him as a respected, fatherly figure who played a crucial role in PIA's restructuring and efforts to restore profitability, known for his decisive leadership and support for welfare initiatives. PIA's CEO expressed deep grief over the loss of the senior leader, with funeral prayers scheduled for Friday at his Karachi residence.
