Maryam reaffirms commitment to eradicating Child Labour

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has reaffirmed her strong commitment to eradicating child labour across the province, emphasizing the importance of providing children with education, healthcare, and recreational opportunities. In a special message on World Day Against Child Labour, she stated that children's rights are crucial for a civilized society and declared Punjab the safest province for children. Nawaz Sharif urged parents to treat children with love and care, not subject them to labour, and vowed strict legal action against those involved in child labour, particularly at brick kilns. The chief minister highlighted the theme "Fair opportunities for children, no to child labour, and dignified employment for youth," underscoring the collective responsibility to protect children's futures. Various institutions, including the Child Protection and Welfare Bureau, are actively working to safeguard children's rights in Punjab.
