PTI rejects Budget 2026-27, calls it anti-poor

PTI Central Secretary Information Sheikh Waqas Akram criticized the budget as favoring the wealthy, imposing burdens on the common man, and containing manipulated figures rather than genuine reforms. He also condemned the use of faceless audit systems that allegedly target honest taxpayers while ignoring large-scale tax evasion. During the National Assembly budget session, PTI lawmakers staged a strong protest, tearing budget documents and boycotting the Finance Minister's speech, asserting that the budget is deceptive and anti-public policy.
